"Healing ways of Nature" Experience the knowledge taught by our ancestors, using the sensory system and beyond to establish communication within yourself, plants and herbs.

The purpose of this 8 weeks (Part II) course is to:

1. Implement and cultivate lifestyle changes that contribute to health through nutrition & supplementation.

2. Learn methods of cleansing and detoxification in order to purify the energy and body systems.

3. Identify the basic taste profiles of herbs and understand their benefits to the different organ systems.

4. Learn the basics of homeopathy and when to use homeopathy vs. herbalism.

5. Understand the basics of herbal formulation and preparation.

6. Cultivate restful practices that increase well-being and harmonization of subtle energy bodies.

7. Increase awareness of body treatment practices and the advantages of incorporating body therapy.

 At the end of this course you will have learned to:

1. Make educated choices about how to feed your body based upon your personal constitution.

2. What cleansing and detoxification methods are the best starting point for you and your health. Practice and enter to the direct experience.

3. Incorporate more herbs and plant medicine into your life. Practice the healing ways of plants & herbs.

4. Understand why homeopathy offers advantages over allopathic medicine and how it can resolve physical and emotional conflict.

5. Utilize plant medicines based upon your personal needs medicinally and nutritionally.

6. Implement practical practices to relax, breathe and sleep in order to maintain homeostasis in health.

7. Develop a series of techniques available to you to support you in body care and pain management.

 

As a prerequisite to enroll to this course. The student must have taken prior the course: Integrating Health I. “Root Determinants of Health or Disease”.

Camisha Freeborn Reed

One of 11 full-blooded siblings, born and raised in Utah. Natural medicine was cultivated from a young age when her mother would have her assist in gathering yarrow and mullein for medicinal purposes. She has developed deep familiarity with health through natural practices including nutrition through whole foods, herbal supplementation and homeopathic remedies. Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah State University with a degree in Psychology. Attended Midwifery College of Utah and have supported women through pregnancy and labor for over a decade. She is a certified Herbalist through the School of Natural Medicine and currently working on a clinical practitioner certification through the School of Evolutionary Herbalism. Homebased business supporting individuals in her community with bodywork. She specializes in Fascia therapy and utilize techniques that include guasha and cupping. Her life purpose revolves around acquiring, maintaining and sharing the wisdom that keeps us human souls functioning in optimal health and wellbeing psychologically, spiritually, nutritionally, and physically.
